Linking Entities

Linkage between the entities can be defined in many ways; for HCn3D the links are named by functions; for example diagnostic and treatment codes link providers and plans, and the links are transactions; and links are translations of patient encounters quantitatively or semantically; for example a plan is linked to a provider group by guidelines which are semantic interpretations of evidence based medicine. Patients are linked to providers by events, which trigger encounters. Each of these entities and their links support the patient’s journey in time through a variety of network entities. The effect of managing links among network entities as functions allows the Logic of the patient encounter to drive the links. This means the patient information that drives the provider response to clinical events that in turn generates outcomes when bundled as a granular encounter is summarized as one or more links as the patient moves among network entities. Each link as a function is a relationship drawn from one or more of the several components of provider Logic.

Healthcare in 3 Dimensions is a system to optimize and assess the delivery of healthcare using counterfactual analysis of care paths, managing costs without sacrificing the individuality of the patient.
